Hello everyone!
Living in and out of the United States when I was growing up has given me a tremendous appreciation for languages of the home country I was living in, and my own.
The Pew Research Center reports that there are 37 million people in the United States who speak Spanish. Spanish is the fastest growing language in the United States.
A 2011 paper by the U.S. Census Bureau indicates that the number of Spanish speakers is expected to increase through 2020 to numbers between 39 million to 43 million. Wow!
So, where is the next generation of Hispanic Leaders coming from?
Bilingual leaders who have heart for the Latino community is critical. The "Latino Leadership Initiative" says, a place to start... local community.

Viviendo en y afuera de los Estados Unidos cuando era chica, me ha dado un aprecio tremendo para lenguas del país de origen, y del país mío.
El Centro de Investigaciones Pew informe que hay como 37 millones de personas en los Estados Unidos que hablan el español. El español es la lengua con el más rápido crecimiento en los Estados Unidos.
En un papel del Oficina del Censo de los Estados Unidos indica que el numero de personas que hablan el español es esperado a aumentar entre 39 millones a 43 millones. ¡Vaya!
¿Pues, de donde vendrá la próxima generación de líderes hispánicos?
Líderes bilingües que tiene corazón para la comunidad latina es crítico. La "Iniciativa Jefatura Latina" dice que un lugar para empezar...la comunidad local.
